This is in the same family of work as Startled. In fact, the bullock in Startled is just behind these two. This started off monochrome (as Startled is), but whilst I was working on it there was a little voice in my head going  “colour, colour, colour”. I kept putting it on and taking it off and ended up with this textured surface and it is something I intend to explore further. The picture kept on going away and coming back out and was actually worked on, on and off, for 2 years.
